Pembridge Gardens is located in the heart of Notting Hill Gate, just a few minutes away from the tube station.
Getting to Pembridge Hall
From Heathrow airport. The airport is linked to London by the Underground on the Piccadilly line. Taking the Underground train to Notting Hill Gate station is the cheapest, and possibly simplest, means of transport from the airport. Alternatively, you can travel to Paddington train station via the Heathrow-Paddington Express Rail Link which runs every 15 minutes during the day, and the journey takes approximately 15–20 minutes. There are also buses from the airport to central London.
From Gatwick airport. A regular and frequent overground train service runs from Gatwick to Victoria station in London, taking approximately 30–35 minutes. From Victoria, you can catch an Underground train to Notting Hill Gate station. Click here for the map of the Underground to help you plan your journey. Alternatively, Flight line coaches depart hourly during the day from Gatwick to Victoria coach station, taking approximately 70–75 minutes.
By road. You can reach the hall by car from Pembridge Road, around Pembridge Square and into Pembridge Gardens. Please note that parking is extremely limited.
By Underground/rail. Paddington is the nearest railway station. A taxi fare from the station will cost around £6.00. If you are travelling by Underground, Pembridge hall is about 100 metres from Notting Hill Gate Underground station (Central, Circle and one branch of the District line).
Transport links to college
Walk. The cheapest way to get to college is to walk. It takes 25/30 minutes to walk through Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park to the South Kensington Campus.
Cycle. If you want to feel the breeze blowing through your hair, you can cycle to College. This can take about 15 minutes. You can keep your bicycles safe at Pembridge’s bike shed (see our Facility’s and Services page for more information) and at College (click here for College information). Alternatively, you can use the public cycles. The nearest cycle stop to halls is on Pembridge Gardens, and there are stops near College on Palace Gardens Terrace and Pembridge Road. Bus. Alternatively, you can use London’s amazing bus network. Buses 52 and 452 from bus stop C, and 52, 452, and 70 from bus stop K will take you to college. Get off at the Royal Albert Hall stop for buses 52 and 452, and at Imperial College stop for bus 70. This will take you 15-20min if no traffic.
Tube. Alternatively, you can take the Circle line from Notting Hill Gate station South Kensington which is 10min walk away from College. This can take you about 20min.

Cars. You are strongly advised not to bring a car to college, as parking at both Imperial College and Notting Hill Gate is by parking permit only, which is extremely difficult to obtain. Pay and Display parking spaces are available but prices are high.
Getting to other campuses
Campus Services at Imperial College have a campus shuttle service that can take you from South Kensington to White City and Hammersmith and runs Monday to Friday. For times and more information click here.
